不少学生自从暑假开始,每天起床时间比平时上学起床时间晚迟了至少2个小时,之后大部分时间都用于看电视、玩手机、玩电脑游戏至深夜。如此两个月下来,当学生已习惯了暑假的生活模式时,面对开学后每天要按时到校上课,要做大量的作业和试题的情况,抵触开学的情绪,有提不起精神、疲倦、无法集中精力、上课打瞌睡等,这些都是“暑期后遗症”的表现。一些自制力自律性较低的学生表现得更为明显。

第1招:培养良好的行为习惯
国际学校被看作学生出国前的预备班,学生要在此完成出国前学业上的准备,学生出国前自我管理习惯的养成多数也将在学校中完成。因此国际学校对学生也有一系列的严格要求,黑利伯瑞国际学校学生龚泽宇说,学校每天10点熄灯,在此之前,学生要将自己的手机、平板电脑都交给宿管,就是为了防止学生受到电子产品的诱惑而影响晚间休息,甚至影响舍友。他们表示刚开始时不太适应,渐渐地习惯了,也可以保障晚上睡眠时间。
Action 1: Cultivate good habits
Students can be well prepared for study abroad through obtain education in international school. The students’ self-management habit is also developed in school. Therefore international school has a series of strict requirements for students. Haileybury International School student – GongZe Yu says: Before 22:00pm the school requires students to submit the cellphone and iPad to the dormitory administrator to avoid influence for their rest. Action 2: Guide students to manage time
Students need to learn how to manage personal time in international school. A rational time allocation of learning and entertainment is important for their future college study. 黑利伯瑞国际学校会鼓励学生依据个人特点制定课程方案,包括文化、体育、艺术等课程,学生初选课程后,可以有两周的更改期,过了两周以后,就必须坚持把自由选定的课程上完直至学期结束。这期间,通过引导学生在课程与活动区域的切换,助其学会合理的管理时间。
The school encourages students to choose curriculums according to their own interest. In the first 2 weeks students can change curriculums(academic PE and art courses etc.) if they find out the curriculum is not suitable for them.
第3招:以管理为辅助手段
在国外,国际学生如果违反了高校或当地的规章制度,将受到严厉的惩处,升值可能面临被遣送回国的风险。因此,黑利伯瑞国际学校重视培养学生树立遵守规章制度的意识,通过管理制度补充推进学生自制力与自控力的提高。
Action3: Establish rules for student management
In western countries if the students violate the university or local regulation they will be severely punished moreseriously they will be repatriated. Therefore international schools emphasize on cultivation of self-control to increase the awareness of compliance with the rules and regulations.
该校还有一套对学生的综合积分管理制度,主要应用于学生在校期间的行为规范。表现出色者会被加分,作为评选优秀学生的一个重要参考;违反要求者会被扣分,扣分超过30分(百分制),会做违纪警告处分;扣分超过40分,会做停宿处分。情节非常严重者,将会被开除学籍。
Haileybury International School has a score management system to regulate students’ behavior. When selecting outstanding students the high score is an important reference. When deducting over 30 points the students will receive a warning letter. When deducting over 40 points the students will be sent home. The harshest punishment is expulsion from school.
第4招:家校合作
除了学校管理,黑利伯瑞国际学校也同样重视家校联系。每个班都有一个班主任,主要负责家校联系的工作。目前,每班的班主任是由中方老师担任,同时会辅助配备1至2名外教老师作为班主任的助手,共同处理班级事务,以及与学生的交流。
Action 4: Close communication with parents
In addition to school management Haileybury international school also pay attention to close communication with parents. Each class is equipped with a homeroom teacher who is mainly responsible for communication with parents.Currently 1 Chinese homeroom teacher has 1 or 2 foreign teacher as assistant.
班主任会每周与家长通电话,把学生近期的情况以及学校的通知汇报给家长,并与家长就学生情况进行沟通,同时也收集家长对学生和学校的要求和建议,成为学生、学校与家长之间的纽带。
The homeroom teacher contact parents on weekly basis let the parents know the performance of their children and collect parents’ suggestion. Homeroom teacher is an important link between school and parents.
